"No ook at me."

Our Witt"man" is so sensitive and has such a sweet heart, but he is also full of naughtiness and disobedience, just like the rest of us. In the "same boat", in need of a Savior. Tonight before bedtime I was chasing after him to get a hug and kiss and he threw a pull-up at my head and laughed, the little stinker. He apologized with that sugary sweet voice that melts my heart and obliged the hug and kiss and headed upstairs with Paul. I put the baby in his crib and met P and Witt in his room. As I was getting him dressed for bed he said, "I soddy mommy." And I asked him what for (having forgetton the aforementioned incident). He said, "for throwding puld up at you." So sweet. A relief to his heart for "hurting" his mommy.

Sin is "deliberate disobedience". In the last month or so when Witt is told not to do something, he has begun saying, "no ook at me [mommy,daddy]" as if we have no idea he is continuing to do the thing we asked him not to. In his two year old mind he believes if he asks us not to look, we must not really know what's going on. Funny, but also deliberately disobedient..sinful! Yes, our sweet 2 year old boy in need of a Saviour. And I started thinking... don't we often do the same thing? Live the same way? Act like two year olds before our perfect and holy Heavenly Father. In a way, it must be sad and funny (in an aren't we silly kind of way) for Him too.
