Ultrasound Image from 7 Weeks

BABY Rodgers Appears!

On September 30th Paul and I received a wonderful surprise. After getting FIVE positive test results (A little slow to believe?) Paul and I headed to Providence, RI on October 3 rd for an ultrasound. We thought we may be @ 3-4 weeks along. The tech explained that she would not be able to see anything if that were the case. Much to our delight our baby was 7 weeks, 3 days old based on the CRL (Crown Rump Length) measurements. When you look at the ultrasound pic. The baby is the 'peanut' (size of a grain of rice) contained in the two + signs. The head is at the top right, and the 'tail' is on the bottom left. The yolk sac is resting on the top of our little guy or gal's head. We also got to hear our little one's heartbeat which was so amazing. It was a healthy 156 beats per minute. We had a follow-up appointment on October 18th and everything looks great! I am feeling well, a bit tired with some definite food aversions and lack of appetite. I have been consuming lots of oj, pizza, and grilled cheese sandwiches. I continue to promise Paul that I will soon cook again. Our next appointment is November 15th, and at @ 20 weeks we will find out what we are having, and will share with everyone!
